About Us
Nick Williams, the Proprietor of Pencombe Hall is originally from London, but always wanted to live in the country. He is from a medical family and has worked as a nursing assistant in two different hospitals whilst a student. He owned his own Insurance Broking business for 10 years before buying Pencombe Hall in 1986.

He has always enjoyed working with elderly people as they have so many interesting experiences to relate - if you just have time to listen - and wishes that age was more revered here in the West as in eastern cultures. Nick has a strong dislike of institutions and has made sure that Pencombe Hall is as much like a real home as possible with no needless rules and regulations.

He employs a full time matron, deputy care and business manager along with more than 30 dedicated part time staff but remains a commited 'hands on' owner. His main interests/hobbies outside work are his three children, motorsports, tennis, badminton, squash, kart racing, gardening, reading and good company. You can see the family in the picture below.
